Husky straight couplers are built to the highest industry standards, tested and certified to meet VESC Reg. V-5, SAE Erg. J-684F. For increased safety, each Husky straight coupler includes a safety pin as an additional means of securing the ball clamp in a locked position (safety pin is required to be used at all times) and a safety chain to eliminate loss of the safety pin. The quick release assembly allows for fast and safe locking and unlocking of the ball clamp for convenient hook-up and disconnect. Sleeve packaged.

The only thing I'll say about this is if you've never done this repair before, take a picture of the order of each piece before removing the nut. I took it off and the springs made everything fly off. I then tried many different ways. I finally got it on thinking I had it right and was so relieved. That was until I hooked it up ti my hitch. So the day I tried to leave for camping, I had to get under it and really figure out what was wrong. What I will say is that it is heavy duty and a great piece.

I had my original coupler badly damages in a tornado. This was the best alternative. I used this kit to supplement the damaged parts on my original coupler. Worked out perfect. great price and quality. Rated to 6000 pounds. exactly what I needed.

This was a relatively easy repair for my coupler. The only issue I had was the spring was very strong and I would have needed four hands to install. I took the spring to my bench and used heavy duty ties to hold it in compression and then the replacement installation was easy. After installation I cut the ties and it works smoothly with a strong clamping when locked.

My Cynergy single-axle trailer was damaged during flatbed shipping, which bent the coupler. I didn't notice until too late, and the seller wouldn't respond, so I replaced it with this one. Works great. Easy to adjust, but that may mean it needs adjustment later. Thicker metal than the original. Toss the keeper pin and use a padlock instead.

I like that its clean looking but it gets hung up everytime i hook/unhook it from my hitch. Used the same ball/hitch for years so i know its not that so it has to be this unit
