My original spring didn't break, but I couldn't get it reloaded to save my life... 60 year old hands just aren't up to it anymore. I should have saved myself the frustration and just dropped a dime on this item first.

New spring. Easy to install, and it does the job of returning the pull start. Thats about it. The price was pretty good as well, thats mostly why i bought this one. But sadly its probably made in china.

It looks easy to install. Accessing is easy, installing need gentle handling or you will end up with 4 feet or so of uncoiled spring.

This was for a 18" Poulan Pro chainsaw. The OEM that was on this broke after about 8-10 uses and there was no repairing it. It seems that the manufacturer received numerous complaints so the fixed the issue with this replacement. It was pretty easy to install with no winding of the spring. Instructions were simple to follow. Installed in just 10 minutes. Great replacement for the chainsaw.
