One of the best scissors for cutting meats that I have ever used. Very good quality and sturdy.

Huusk Heavy Duty Kitchen Scissors Stainless Steel Poultry Shears with Detachable Blades for Chicken Bone Fish Turkey Easy Cleaning Kitchen Scissor Black (Black 1)This is a really sturdy pair of poultry shears that have a spring loaded action for easy use, good leverage with the long handles, really fit for a large pair of hands and not for the dainty faint of heart. The blades are very sharp and the shears have no wiggle or play to them throughout the action. Some break apart shears have too much wiggle or play and that is super annoying and poor performing. Not these. The blades are opposed to each other firmly for a clean cut from pivot to tip. The blades are full tang constructed and the handles are riveted cleanly. The shears will rip through pretty much anything you would want to throw at it, be it meats vegetables, or bones. It has a button latch to keep it in closed position when not in use, and the latch is also spring loaded so it will pop out of slot with a gentle squeeze of the handle. A very simple but elegant and practical design. The shears will break apart very easily and can be easily cleaned and reattached. These shears are built to last and will be a workhorse staple around my kitchen.

Super solid pair of shears, they cut nice and easy even through the more tough meat and bones. Although I did not get these for my kitchen, I know they work well in cutting the gills and gill plates of the large fish we catch. I have used these style shears on the boat for years, usually they only fail because they end up rusting from the exposure to salt water over time. We also use these to cut up the green crabs when fishing for Tautog (blackfish) and it makes that job super easy as compared to normal kitchen scissors. Has a nice lock mechanism and feels nice and heavy meaning I have no doubt they will hold up to the harsh conditions we will be running them through this year.

I didn’t think something like these shears existed—a Frankenstein mix of heavy-duty scissors that also detach into a knife. When I ordered them, I had two main expectations: (1) they wouldn’t have a spring to automatically reopen the blades, and (2) they would be a well-built pair of shears. I was wrong on the first point and partially wrong on the second. These shears do have a spring mechanism that forces the blades open after each cut, which is a fantastic feature I wasn’t expecting but highly appreciate. The build quality is also incredible—I anticipated something sturdy, but these are next-level tough. I’d go so far as to call them “tactical” shears given how solid they feel. If you process waterfowl or chickens and need to cut through breastplates, these shears will handle the job with ease.Another important feature is that they can be disassembled for cleaning, which I consider essential for kitchen shears. The screw that prevents the shears from accidentally disassembling is simply a push button (spring loaded) knob and is very easy to depress. They gave the design some thought and the build quality is seriously bonkers. These are some of the best kitchen shears I’ve ever used. If you need a seriously robust, high-performance pair of shears that can take down pretty much anything that crosses your kitchen, these are an excellent choice. Highly recommended for heavy-duty tasks. The only drawback is that these wont cut sheer fabric so you'll need sharper scissors for that sort of task.

These are awesome but too heavy for me to use with disabled hands. My son however cuts through anything and everything in the kitchen. Holds it edge well cleans up easily. Definitely would recommend

What I like about these scissors:They can be taken apart easily for cleaning.Super sharp, and the curved configuration makes it easy to cut.Readily cuts through raw meat and chicken bones. As for what I don't like, there's really nothing so far. Typically, I've found that kitchen scissors have a limited life span, even quite good quality and expensive ones. I haven't had them long enough to know whether they'll hold up or not, but right now they're a very useful part of my kitchen utensils and seem to be very well made. I'm not sure I'd ever use them as separate knives but, for those who would want a kind of three-in-one utensil, it's a definite plus. The price is right for these, provided they're still usable a year from now.

In the kitchen, I love using shears to cut up cooked meatballs instead of slicing to add to my pasta sauce, chopping up fresh herbs, as well as our yearly turkey dividing to cook the dark meat separately from the white. I also like to use shears to cut up any cooked chicken to make fried rice with or soup or chicken salad.I love that these can be used as shears as well as separate knives. The one problem I have is the back extension that is used for oyster shells etc....we don't eat oysters, clams or mussels so not only will it not be used, but I find it hurts my hand and gets in the way of giving me a comfortable grip when I use the item as shears.I also wish they had included a sheath since this is one imposing object for your hand to find rummaging around in a drawer--ouch...
