Usually it is mounted underneath the dash on the passenger side of the vehicle, If your car’s HVAC system is not working properly, it could be due to a faulty blower motor resistor. If it fails, your system may only work on certain speeds or not at all. At this time, you need to replace a new resistor to get your air conditioning system working again.

- In most modern vehicles, the blower motor resistor or control module is located inside the vehicle behind the passenger side of the dashboard. It is installed inside one of the ducts of the HVAC system, close to the blower motor.

Amazon said this does not fit my 2006 kia Sportage, but it looked just like the old one, so I took a chance and ordered one. It fits and works perfectly in my 2006. Kia sportage.
