UPDATED REVIEW AFTER INSTALLING:I am absolutely impressed at the smoothness considering the larger gaps between the major treads and am highly confident the tires withstand road abuse and debris in general. I am still going to keep using anti-flat of the Red and Black package variety. Installing and inflating them is pretty easy if you keep the wheels off the bike, allowing them to fill horizontally, the bead sits very nicely. The noise they make is far cooler than the stock 'knobby' ones and when accelerating, it kind of makes me think light cycle. The noise my rear hub motor makes combined with these is very fun to hear, at least from a riding perspective. So far I've tried them at 32 rear 36 front and have had minimal issues with not having a rear shock, though I'm considering trying 36 rear 38 front next. I might even try 40/40 as they are intended for road.HUGE Bonus is that on roads under construction, the edges of roads being all grounded up they don't feel floaty or 'false flat' like stock knobby tires tend to. They do tend to feel floaty on loose gravel, but that's expected. Sand covered roadways is my next test. Another great bonus is on very torn up asphalt parking lots they feel ultra smooth, though that may change when I increase the pressure.Only thing I kind of dislike is the treads are so thick they basically don't fit in my original fenders, but I'll be mostly resolving that with some German made mud flap thingies that go on the body bars of the bike.Once I have more time, I'll find a nice quiet road to record a video of the tires noise. I may also wait to do a video when the mud flaps arrive to give an idea of how to resolve fender size issues.ORIGINAL REVIEW:They measure out correctly as 20x4, but I haven't installed these just yet as my current tires still have a few miles left in them, but I'm sure these should grip the road nicely. They appear to have good thickness in the treads, though I'm concerned with the large gaps between some of the treads making for some easy space for a large nail or debris to puncture the tire. From what I've experienced with tires like these, the gaps should give a decently smooth ride while adding just a little bit of noise while riding which is something I actually like.Likes/Pros• Material Quality: Durable and confidence-inspiring.• Tire Performance: Good grip on roads, sand, and gravel.Dislikes/Cons• Potential Risk: Larger gaps may be vulnerable to sharp debris.

Review of ”Hycline Ebike Replacement Fat Tire: 20x4.0 Inch Heavy Duty Folding Electric Fat Tires...":(Please refer to my reviewing guidelines at the bottom of the page). We live on our 52' Trawler 100% of the time and anchor out and travel 99.99% of the time. We have two Rattan 750 ebikes that we use for provisioning when near a town but use them mostly for trails and country roads. We had a couple of years on the original tires and they were getting thin on tread so we ordered these when they became available. These are very nice quality tires and tubes. They arrived without a single visible flaw or even a scuff. They are much thicker and heavier than the original tires that came with the Rattans and we very much like the tread for it's smoother center design for road use and the aggressive edge knobs for the trail. We carry one of the new pocket size rechargeable inflaters and it's great to be able to inflate to 40psi for lower rolling resistance on the road but then let out air to about 25 PSI for more give over rocks and stumps during trail riding. These fit the 20x4 rims very well and are not difficult to install. We first unstrapped them and expanded them to there normal shape then let them sit that way a few days before installing and I think that helps when replacing any bicycle tire. It also helps to add a small amount of air to the tube so they take a little shape before installing those.I've done a bit of market research on Amazon for this specific type of product and find that at $99.59 these are priced very competitively for the market considering it's a complete tire and tube changeout with a very high quality product. It's very easy for me to assign this product 5 stars because of it's quality and value. My responsibility as an Amazon Vine Reviewer:Considering the Amazon rules/regulations for being a Vine Member It is obvious that it is very important to Amazon that the person doing the review has indeed inspected, tested, used the product as well as being aware of the competitive situation of the market segment. This is so it can be fairly compared and reviewed whether good, bad, average, or anywhere in all of the grey area between. One thing that I wish were better defined by Amazon is exactly what each star should represent from 1 to 5 so that every Vine member would use the same guide in that regard. So, to let you know the guide that I use, I include it as follows:I always start off considering that average is 3 stars, and an average rating to me is:The product was correctly represented in the ad.The manufacturing quality is as expected. The product performed as intended. The product operating/user guide if needed is helpful. The product is priced accordingly. Then after inspection, measuring, testing, using, wearing, or whatever is requiredI add or subtract from the average as follows:Subject to additional stars:Additional product features not expected that are useful.Manufacturing quality/performance above what was stated or expected.Included guides and/or useful information that is beyond the norm.Product pricing highly competitive for a superior product.Subject to fewer stars:The product was misrepresented in the ad.Manufacturing quality/performance below what was stated or expected. No useful guide or understandable user information when required.Product pricing is on the high side considering quality, features, or the market.all the best,dr

This is a great deal! High quality high pressure tires, for an awesome price. The biggest selling point is the pressure rating of 40 PSI. Super firm for much improved handling, and less drag on the pavement. The stock 20 PSI tires are just total garbage. I think it increased my range, my speed, and my handling by at least 20%. Definitely will be buying these again when the time comes.

I am impressed with this ebike tire. It has much larger tire lugs than the typical ebike tire. The tire carcass seems quite heavy and I appreciate its maximum inflation pressure rating of 40 psi. All other similar size tires that I have bought in the past are only rated to be inflated to 20 psi. The tire tread is heavy and of a design that seems as if should work well on paved roads. The tire appears well built and is thicker than other similar tires. If fact, the tire carcass is so heavy that it was a real struggle to get it unfolded when removed from its packaging. I will mention though that I have not yet installed the tire as I bought it to replace the current rear tire that came with my fat tire ebike when it wears out so I can not comment on how well it works when riding on the street.
