I love my EVOC hydration system but I go through bite valves like crazy. What I don't love is the price of EVOC bit valves. That's why I was so happy to find these CXWLJL Hydration Bags Bite Valves. The price is a fraction of EVOC and side by side I can't tell the difference. They look, fit and operate just like the original EVOC units! If you need a new bite valve, these are really great!

I must bite my bite valves too hard because I punctured two different bite valves. While the leak was very little, it still leaked. When I squeezed the bite valve, a small stream of water shot out. I'm loving that I got several in the package in case it happens again. It's always good to have replacements available.

On our routine trail crews I normally use water bottles instead of my Osprey hydration bag, so I can keep track of remaining water levels. This week we had a long hike into the wilderness to log out a section of trail long neglected. Seeing this job scheduled, I figured it time to use the hydration bag instead of the usual bottles and ordered these bite valves to use a fresh valve. I was glad to have the hydration bag on this crew, so I could drink while hiking, instead of having to stop and remove my pack every time I needed a hydration break. The old bit valve just slips right off and the new one slides on and is securely sealed. The new bit valve worked as expected to open up the flow of water from the bag. Color and everything appears to be the same as the OEM Osprey valve, except my original valve has a bit more reinforcement on the orange internal part of the valve. I don't know if that is necessary, at least if one doesn't bite so hard that they bite off the end of the valve. These work for me.

The valve on my 3L Osprey bladded finally developed a crack and started leaking a week before doing a Via Ferrata. I ordered these valves and swapping them out was super easy--just pull out the old valve and insert the new one. Fit was perfect and valve was fixed.Deducting one star because the material is a little stiffer than the real thing--a little more plastic-y, perhaps--but honestly you're bound to not even notice after a while! And given that you get six to a pack, that should keep you covered for a long time!

I use a cheap "made in China" bladder in the backpack that I wear while riding off-road. I recently broke the valve, and got this to replace it. It fit right in the tube, and was quite secure. It works fine, but the on-off valve is very stiff. It's quite hard to open with gloves on. I'm sure I will lose them before I use all of the replacement bite valves, but if you're hard on them you have a lot of spares.

If you, like millions of cyclist/hikers/walkers/whatever out there use the Camelbak hydration system; don't bother with this product. It is too large to fit Camelbak tubing. You can't even swap the bite valve out with a Camelbak bite valve, because it this bite valve is also too large and will slip off the first time you use it. Compare a Camelbak bite valve (left) with the valve on the product (right) to see the size difference. For what it's worth, the product is not as pictured. The product I received is a straight-line valve instead of the right-angle valve in the product images. See econd image.

I have found that these leak easily and have even fallen off my bladder tube entirely causing me to loose a lot of water. At first when I installed it, it was on too to tight and I could hardly get any water out of it, I adjusted it and then it went to leaking. Not worth it
