This morning I frustratingly sat down to assemble this antenna. The instructions are poor, and the video was fair at best. although it gave me some clues as to what to do. I took the boom, slid the element into the boom, and attempted to screw to attach the element to the boom. The screw wouldn't go straight, or very far, into the element's hole and certainly couldn't be tightened. I tried another screw with the same result, so I removed the element totally from the boom to see if the screw would fit into the element's hole outside of the boom. Nope. The screw was going in crooked and wouldn't go very far into the hole. It's like the screw hole was either not threaded, or was threaded for a different size screw. This was not exactly a cheap purchase, and it's being returned.Major disappointment, so I'm going to do what I should in the first place and buy a reputable antenna from a ham radio retailer, not Amazon.

Works great. Use a fiberglass mast, SWR 2:1 with steel mast, 1:1 with fiberglass

I love this antenna! I am receiving satellites that I was previously unable to decode on my Cushcraft 2 meter and 70 cm antennas. Can't be beat fir the price and no more switching between antennas.

Was durprisingly well thought out for easy assy. Holes in boom and correct elements are numbered. Center part of 2m elements are of different sizes but numbered eith lazer numbers to show where to put them. Outer end pieces are all the same so no need gor numbers. Toom me about 15 min. to complete from opening the box. Sturdy and fine for hams with HOA, portable use, reaching out to repeater or buddy on simplex, but too far for a simple vertical. 3 el on 2m , and 5 on 440. About 7 dB and 9 dB with short coax run. Veey pleased for above use. For real DX, weak signal work get larger 10+ element monobander. But for many every day range stretching in restricted homes and portable use, well worth the money.

Well constructed, easy to assemble and setup. Works as advertised; able to reach areas with more power and less signal loss. A must have for HAMers...
