Can't give 0 stars, but I guess if you needed a movie prop, it looks like a piece of kit. Doesn't actually function at all. Might have worked for the first couple of weeks, but now several GPS receivers just will not get a lock even after being powered on for weeks... even though it has a clear view of the sky in all directions. Not a good product. Spend your money elsewhere.

Expensive junk. I waited almost an hour for a fix from this antenna. After I gave up, I re-installed my small hockey-puck antenna, and had a fix within 5 minutes (probably less). Both antennas were in the same position on a roof. Will return for a refund and look elsewhere for a decent one.

Bought to act as fixed antenna for gps based time server. Being able to mount high up gives much better reception -always “seeing” 30+ satellites. Being a marine device it should be capable of withstanding the local weather. Very secure mounting plate. Highly recommended

Works well but not sure what the thread is if you want to get rid of the base and mount it on a pole, it’s not standard*Update, does not work well with some GPS receivers and does not get fix on satellite as signal is too weak*another update* have bought a second one and it has dreadful gain, does not get fix and has really weak reception, compared it against a free gps I received with receiver board and it really is not a good antenna

I bought 2 of these to mount on my house. I use them with GPS disciplined oven controlled crystal oscillator ultra stable time and frequency references. They are mounted on a mast shared with a tri-band VHF/UHF antenna. I made a mount out of PVC sprinkler pipe and fittings. I discarded the mounts that they came with them. I added long extension cables and surge protectors. They have worked well for more than a year. However, one seems to have failed recently. When I disassembled the failed antenna, it was wet inside. I noticed that the housings of both antennas have acquired an obvious yellow tinge. The antenna that I replaced failed after a couple of weeks. I need to check the cable and connections to make sure.

Looks great for the price and very easy to mount. The antenna installation was very easy and it was a plug and play method. plugged directly to the back of my VHF device on the GPS plug and worked right away. Would definitely recommend!
