I have a 1978 simplicity 4111 with an 11hp Briggs and Stratton. I wanted to get rid of the points ignition, so I just took a guess and ordered it from the picture without doing any research. The mounting holes on my mower were wider than this part, but the curve was the same as my flywheel, so I took another guess and grabbed a file and widened the holes on this coil. 20 minutes of filing and fitting, the engine fired right up lol. It works really good, I ran it for about an hour straight yesterday cutting the grass and had no issues.

My Briggs push mower (Engine 123K02) wasn't starting, even with starting fluid, so I knew it was an ignition issue. Pulled the spark plug and was only getting an orange spark (not blue like it should be). Switched out the coils and the mower started on the second pull. Worked like a charm. The coil I replaced was a different shape than this coil, but it worked just the same.

I have a Craftsman Mulcher Mower 917.387480 which uses an 802574 ignition coil. The OEM product has a 90 degree spark plug connector; this one is straight which means I need to buy the spark plug boot also. That isn't a big deal, but is deceiving if buying a true replacement part. Additionally, after installation, the coil didn't work. I will be returning it and purchasing a different product.

This ignition module fit my lawn mower and was a bargain. It was delivered next day as promised.The only issue was it did not come with a spark plug boot.
