This heavy-duty bike lock is a solid investment! I love that it can be installed directly onto my bike, eliminating the need to carry an extra lock. It does add some weight, but since my bike is electric, the impact is minimal compared to the bike itself. The sturdy metal construction gives me great confidence—no one would dare try to cut through it. Overall, a well-designed and reliable lock for added security!

The lock was straightforward to install on my bike. The lock's design and mechanics were more challenging to maneuver. The lock has to be unfolded from its holder. To open it up, you need the key (the package came with three keys), then lock it again with the key (it sounds easier than it looks). Because of its structure, the lock doesn't easily go around like a chain; it takes some getting used to. The lock feels sturdy and secure, mainly because the key needs to be locked. Putting it back in its holder is simple. Knowing I have a lock during my trips makes me feel more secure. Having it mounted on my bike is good because I don't have to carry it physically. However, that area leaves me to find another choice for a water bottle.

I have an expensive bicycle for biketouring and bikepacking that I do not want stolen. Therefore, I have locks on both panniers, my top front frame bag and rear rack bag and, of course, several highly rated, durable and strong locks on my bicycle frame, wheels and saddle/seat. I also have several GPS tracking devices hidden all over the bicycle, as well as several very sensitive vibration and motion alarms. Among the types of locks I trust are my two cut-resistant D-locks with thick steel cables, a digital keyless lock, a tamper-resistant alarmed padlock, a thick barrel lock (primarily used for trailer hitches), a very heavy steel chain (like those used for boat anchors and towing vehicles), two very thick steel steering wheel clubs and, now, this hinged bicycle lock. All of these are excellent tools for securing my bicycle from thieves, but NOTHING is 100% theft proof and the best I can hope for with any security device is to slow determined, well-equipped thieves down long enough to be caught or discourage them from attempting to take my bicycle and choose a less secure bicycle than mine. This hinged bicycle lock is normally rated on various websites to be a 7 out of 10, with the D-locks being more secure with ratings from 8 to 10, for example. Steel cables are rated poorly at around 3 or 4, even the thicker ones, with thick heavy tow chains rating at 8 or 9. Although this hinged bicycle lock is not the most secure locking device, it does rank quite high and should definitely slow a would-be bike thief down and possibly cause him/her to consider another bike over yours to steal. Installation of the included mount was simple enough using the included thick zip ties and fitted case. There are holes also which will allow it to be mounted to the frame directly with screws, but I already had water bottle holders on both locations. Two keys were included with this hinged bicycle lock so I could have a spare in case I lost my primary key while cycling. This lock is very durable and seems to be very well built, even the hinges are very strong while also being flexible.

This thing is significantly beefier than the BIGLUFU Bike Lock I bought a few years ago for just a couple dollars less. This one is much beefier! Both locks stand up to the test of trying to break them with bear hands at the joints, but I'm not sure how well it might stand up to a hammer or big rock in just the right place. Overall I'm happy with it as it looks way more intimidating than a rope style bike lock.

I recently purchased an ebike and was looking for a lock. This lock is a very heavy item that is also very stout.Compared to a similar lock that came with another popular brand ebike I have, it is much more robust. Did I mention it is very heavy?It comes with three keys which is a plus. Did I mention it is heavy?There are heavy duty zip ties included as well as two other ways to anchor the case. Yes, I said it is a heavy lock.Since I am not going to drill holes in the frame of my new bike just yet, I will try the zip ties. This application is not the best, as it slides down the frame.The lock and keys appear to be of good quality, and the lock itself is easy to deploy. The length is three feet, so long enough to secure the front wheel and frame to a secure anchor post.Quality? Yes. Heavy? yes. But it will be a great deterent for the casual thief.

Good lock, It feels pretty secure and strong. I like how easy it can be stored in the frame of the bike. The length is fine, not too long not too short. I just have one observation to make, and it is that when I want to lock my bike sometimes I have to turn the key at the same time I have to make sure the lock goes inside the slot to be locked, there are some times that this is hard to do, specially when you have to hold the lock with one time and turn the key with your other hand while you also hold the lock, not a big deal, just an observation, maybe the key slot should be locked with the key at some point so you don't have to hold it, that would help.
