I brew a fresh 14 cup pot of coffee every morning in my semi. Then I put it all in my vacuum carafe for use throughout the day as I drive. By evening, the coffee is still hot using this carafe! It's the only one I've had in my 33 years on the road that keeps the heat this well!

We usually make our rounds of warm beverages around 5:30 in the morning, a good while before our teenagers wake up. So, we started using airpots to keep everything warm rather than needing to make multiple rounds. This airpot fits the need well. It holds a good amount of coffee for the crew to share, and it keeps it warm throughout the morning. It's also easy to clean and is durable for everyday use.I will say that the 12-hour hot is about like most 12-hour hot claims -- it doesn't quite hold up unless you preheat that carafe. We usually don't bother, since we only need it to stay hot for a couple of hours. But, on weekends, we usually pour some boiling water in it while the coffee is brewing to preheat it, then empty out the water right before we fill it with coffee. That ensures that the coffee stays hot long enough for those who still want one last cup in the afternoon.

It functioned well for only the initial two months, but afterward, pumping became nearly impossible. Pouring a small cup of tea now requires a significant amount of effort and force.And we are not using it anymore and unfortunately, the return window is ended.

This thermal carafe holds just over 2 quarts. It is a pump style carafe. It’s made of cheap plastic on the outside and stainless steel on the inside.If you are unfamiliar with this type of carafe, you really need to preheat it first. You do that by pouring some boiling water into it first and swishing it around. Empty it and then fill it with coffee. If you skip this step, the coffee will cool down much quicker.This item is made in China and being sold by Chinese company on Amazon. At the current price of forty-four bucks it is certainly over twice the price it should be for mostly Chinese plastic.

I received this item because I often go down to Mexico with a lot of my friends and 10 of us stay in a big penthouse together. When we do this, the morning has a bit of a coffee rush and ultimately people are standing around waiting for coffee. So I thought I would get this coffee dispenser to make as many pots of coffee as possible but then keep them warm as people are getting up. I’m glad I did.Like I said in the headline, it is solid and sturdy just like a coffee dispenser at a real restaurant. It dispenses coffee very easily. And it looks great. The lid and any of the mechanisms or buttons all look real solid too. This item is going to last a long time.I did a temperature test by heating up water and putting it into the coffee dispenser. I think I need to get a life now that I’m saying this out loud, but I really did do a temperature test. Initially it would lose about 2° per hour and ultimately over five hours it lost no more than 9°. I was very happy with that. (incidentally, I tried it side-by-side with a few others and it did better than some of the others.)Solid, sturdy, professional and it really holds a lot of liquid. It is really going to complement our big trip I’ll staying in the same house. Highly recommend.
