This is a game changer. No more packing down the heavy metal Fold up canopy. Set is super easy just fill the bags but also dog a hole to put the bags in after filled they will move if not in a hole. Super light easy to take down to the beach. Big enough for 5-6 people and keeps you in the shade. 10/10 would buy again.

This is a pretty nice beach tent. The weather finally warmed up enough for me to give this a try. Imo, this is an improved tarp tent. If you set up a tarp tent before, you'll know that they are fickle and fairly hard to set up.This is much easier. Because the fabric is stretchy, you basically lay it down flat but not super stretched out, secure the ends that double as guy lines, and use the poles to pitch it up.The fabric then stretches to fit.I'm sure it won't last as long as a tarp, but you'll also curse less while setting it up.

You have to make sure the tarp is really stretched tight to keep it upright when putting in the poles. It took me two attempts to get it right. I like how compact it is to carry and it comes with a duffle bag. It comes with 1 canopy, 4 aluminum alloy poles, 1 canvas zipper carrying bag, four stakes and 1 sand shovel.

I mean this tent isn’t the worst I’ve used, but it’s not exactly something I’d rave about either. The aluminum poles feel super lightweight, like, kinda flimsy and to be honest, I wouldn’t say it’s worth what they’re charging. Maybe $70 tops.It does do the job in terms of keeping the sun off, and I really do like the color. But setting it up alone was a bit of a pain. I managed, but barely. The sandbags definitely helped keep it from flying off into the next zip code, so I’m glad those were included. If you’re just using this for a quick beach day or backyard chill and don’t need something heavy-duty, it might work for you. But if you’re expecting high quality or strong wind protection, I’d say keep looking.

This was super easy to put up - just STRETCH out and put down the stakes, then add the number of poles you want. I tried in my yard, so the stakes held strong, and it was reasonably quick to put up. I like the versatility of either using two poles or 4, though I think 2 seems to be the better setup in my opinion. Additionally, it held strong in the decent breeze which was good to see. All that said, I'm not sure I'd trust it with JUST the sandbags full. I was on grass, so I only used the stakes, and the canopy did pull pretty tight on the stakes. I also was surprised at how big of a footprint was needed to set this up, and will avoid using this on a crowded beach. All of that said, I'm ultimately not going to be able to use this for what I'd hoped. I originally saw this style of canopy in Hawaii, and thought this would be a great thing to use as a something we packed with us. However, I was disappointed at just how big the back is and how heavy this is! I'd expect this style to be pushing for small and compact, but that is NOT how this is setup. The bag is bigger than our other travel sunshade, and is much heavier! I also thought I could save some weight by only packing two of the poles, but that really isn't where the weight is... it's in the canopy itself. This speaks to the quality of the fabric, but ultimately feels disconnected from the benefit of this style of shade. This will get its uses, and is nice, but is definitely not meant for travel.

I acquired this beach tent through Vine.I was interested in the product for use on an upcoming family vacation we have planned for 8 adults and 5 children. My wife and I set it up quickly in the backyard just to make sure it would work well on the beach. It was a little cumbersome to be honest. It relies a lot on the tension created by the outstretched canopy and weighted/staked legs to keep the poles in their upright positions. Unlike a more traditional and heavier canopy, there is no framing between stakes. I'm just glad we'll have a few extra sets of hands on deck to set this up on the beach.I am also hoping to get more use out of it beyond our vacation. I could see this potentially being used in the yard to provide some sun protection while I'm doing yardwork in a dedicated area, whether pruning, weeding, mulching, planting, or chipping in the same spot for an extended period of time.
