The only downsides to this for me is, my cats thought it was a play toy due to the feel of it and ended up putting hidden holes in it. And it was hard to pump up the first time due to how vacuumed flat it was and how the pump fitted into the hole… I ended up just using an electric pump to blow it up as I couldn’t get the pump that came with it to work.Overall the size is great, it worked for keeping my feet up comfortably while I played games in my computer chair, and it was mostly comfortable… had trouble keeping it up but that is probably just because of it supposed to be used in a narrower space that what I was using it in. I don’t see how it’d be comfortable to use on an airplane simply from how high it is but at the same time I’m not sure how air planes seats are to know if it would work or not. It does however work nicely for a firm pillow when flat on the ground to keep feet off the ground and to prop feet up in bed.

UPDATE: I'm updating my review to add an extra star. I still find the inflating process a bit unwieldy but am finding this item is getting more use around the house than I expected. Each day it seems like a different family member is taking it and using it for something. A foot rest here, a little "table" on which to display a tablet there. So that tells me there's quite a bit of versability to this product beyond the scope of just a "travel item"While marketed primarily as a foot rest for air travel, as a long legged adult I could tell just by reading the description that this would not work for myself on a plane. Or very likely any average height adult whose legs are long enough to reach the floor while sitting. At least not in today’s airplane economy sections. The description goes on to add that this has uses for children in air travel. That I can possibly agree might work but it would depend on if the person in the seat in front of the child decides to recline. I could see that being a problem,I however chose this item primarily for an alternate purpose. I recently underwent knee surgery & find that I still need to elevate my leg at times to prevent/reduce swelling. This item looked like just the thing to perhaps help me do that, either at home or while at work. The product arrives with two flat ready to inflate cushions (each in its own reusable cinchable travel pouch), a hand pump and a small basic instruction paper. The carry pouches are a nice portable size and the cushions pack nice/flat when deflated. Perfect for transport. The hand pump is a bit more bulky (about 9 ½” long & 2” wide), It’s lightweight but bulk wise, I’m not sure it would fit well in an already usually tight-for-space carryon travel bag.Inflating the cushion(s) is/are a fairly straightforward concept. Air needs to go in, cushion expands. There are two valves on each cushion. Each valve has two sections. The lower section of the valve is the hole in which you would use the hand pump. I do appreciate the pump being included, as inflating these cushions by mouth could be tiring (think of it as being a large rectangular beach ball). However actually using this hand pump is a bit unwieldy. I could have used an additional hand (or two) to make this a bit more efficient and less frustrating. If there is an additional person nearby, I’d recommend one person hold the cushion/valve while the other uses two hands to man the pump. Trying to do it oneself is challenging because any time either the cushion/valve or the pump moves out of place, air escapes from the partially inflated cushion. There is a secondary smaller one-way valve atop the cap of the bottom valve. This is to be used once you seal the bottom valve because no matter how quickly you try, once you remove that hand pump from the opening and try to seal the bottom valve, air will escape from the cushion. You use the smaller top valve to blow in air with your mouth. I assume this is what the manufacturer means when they state this can be “personalized” but I think that’s bit misleading.Once inflated you’ve got yourself a somewhat poofy rectangle. It does stand on its own when positioned upright (with bare plastic side on the bottom) but is wobbly once you put your legs/feet atop it. That being said, when positioned on its side, it does make a decent “pillow” upon which to elevate a knee when reclined on a bed or sofa.Overall, I think this is product is a nice concept and the price is worth giving it a try but some parts of the inflating process and practical use leave a bit to be desired

I do like this inflatable foot rest, but I don't know how practical it really is when it comes to airplane travel. One order comes with two of these blow up foot rests, a pump, and storage bag. All in all, a good value. But it's a lot, and when it comes to airplanes these days, a lot isn't feasible with how tight everything is and how limited we are by storage space. That aside, these work pretty well around the house or if you're on the go like at a park or kid's soccer game.

So this foot rest is great when you get it setup. You can choose between three heights, so you can use this as a foot rest, or a leg rest. It makes traveling on airplanes so much more bearable to have this, as now your feet don't just dangle on the floor in some uncomfortable position. It doesn't take up much room either when it is uninflated, so it's easy to bring this aboard. So for what it is when fully in use this is definitely 5 stars. Now the bad side - inflating this thing is a pain, and while it comes with a small hand pump, you might not be able to bring that onboard. Inflating this by blowing into it is tiring, and you look kind of ridiculous if you are doing this in an airplane. Also the hand pump doesn't work that wel at all. The big thing though is that a lot of airplanes restrict these types of things because they block off the entire floor in front of your seat. Your best bet is to get a window seat since it's a lot more lax. But if you have an aisle seat, you can almost certainly forget about using this since you'll be blocking off your entire row. Thus whether or not to get this depends on if you don't mind inflating this and if your airlines allows these types of things and if you normally get window seating.

I just bought a new CRV and the gap between the back seat and the console is wide. My dog always likes to lay down on the console to look out the front window while I drive. So I set up this foot rest which is the perfect height for her to just lay down with her back feet and butt sitting comfortably on the foot rest. It was easy for me to set up and pump up. And I love that I can deflate it easily for storage when not in use. The material is nice and soft and seems like it will hold up well without being popped easily.
