Intake air temps with this Short Ram are 136 degrees F on an 80 degree F day. ECU pulls 5 degrees of timing in order to compensate so this is a loss of about 18-19hp at the wheels. The heat shield does nothing. DO NOT BUY

Ok, first of all the product arrived as described in perfect condition. That’s not the issue.The issue is that this intake actually causes about 10hp/TQ LOSS over the stock intake. This has been proven on a dyno, where it matters. The 3.8 genesis stock intake just needs an aftermarket filter to perform better. Don’t waste your money on this intake - I reinstalled my stock intake and I’ve gained back the HP/TQ loss.

I decided to go with this over a cheaper alternative, and I'm glad I did. This is a good buy to go with the Borla Cat back exhaust and DNA Motoring Headers. Now, My genesis is a Bolt-on Beast.
