For the price, this is a great little inline diffuser. It gets the job done — fine mist, consistent bubbles, and it keeps the tank looking clean since it stays out of view. I’ve been using it on my 55-gallon planted tank with a pressurized CO₂ system, and diffusion has been solid so far.Installation was pretty straightforward. It comes with the necessary fittings, and once it’s in line with the outflow, you’re good to go. You’ll definitely want to soak the ceramic disc before first use to get a nice, even bubble spread. That said, there’s one thing to be careful about — the glass section can leak if it’s not screwed on all the way. Mine had a slow drip at first until I took it apart and re-tightened everything. Not a huge deal, but it’s easy to miss and could be a problem if it’s tucked behind your stand. Definitely double check all connections before you call it done. What I liked:Great value for the priceKeeps hardware out of the tankDecent mist and stable CO₂ outputLooks clean once installedWhat to watch for:Can leak from the glass joint if not sealed tightlyNo spare O-rings included, so be careful during setupIf you’re comfortable with a little extra setup and want to keep your tank clean-looking, this is a good option. Just be sure to tighten everything down before running full pressure. Once it’s sealed up, it works great.

I have a planted tank with co2 on a diffuser I wanted to see how effective this item was . After an easy installation and set up I can honestly say it was extremely well . It’s built pretty solid and I’m very happy with it.

After I fiddled with the installation (the instructions are almost entirely in Chinese), it’s working very well. I’m using it on a small 10 gallon tank, at a slow bubble rate of 1 bubble every 2.5 seconds, and at this slow rate the C02 almost completely dissolves by the time it reaches the tank—I rarely see any bubbles; but if I turn the C02 up, the diffuser does make nice small visable bubbles in the tank, almost as fine as the Twinstar in-tank diffusers.Be sure to install with the C02 airline hose connection below the white ceramic diffuser; I saw many installation videos on YouTube where they did just the opposite, which is wrong and silly as if you put the C02 ahead of the ceramic diffuser the C02 will never get through the diffuser to produce micro-bubbles.As another reviewer mentioned, I could not for the life of me get the screw-on end caps (that fit over the hose) to work—they aren’t even close to meeting the threads they’re suppose to screw onto. It’s the correct rated hose size for this diffuser (1/2”), but the end caps only go so far up the, what appears to be too thick, hosing (I don’t know—maybe hosing is thinner in China, where this diffuser was developed and made). HOWEVER, with the hose slipped all the way up over the barbs, and then the end caps pushed as far as possible up over the hose (semi-over the barbs), and then twisted as tight as possible over the hose, I have no leaks; it’s working fine, despite the fact the end caps aren’t even close to meeting the threads, let alone being screwed down tight over them. Mickey Mouse installation, yes, but again, no leaks and it’s holding tight after 3 days.

I decided to try this CO2 Diffuser based on hearing Jeff Senske talk about his success with it at ADG on his podcast. His assessment was spot on - it does take some diligence in setting it up. Don't skip the step to soak the ceramic diffuser element overnight. Then make sure to tighten the housing and check for leaks before installing. The instructions are brief, but they include a drawing showing the correct path you should be seeing bubbles. If you see a leak, try retightening the housing. After I saw no more leaks, I installed it on the canister return hose and now I see no more microbubbles in the tank! Also, I'm seeing pearling on plants that weren't previously seeing pearling that are located across the tank from the in tank diffuser I was using previously. I had additional powerheads attempting to disperse CO2 but apparently they weren't doing nearly as good a job as this method. I'm very pleased!
