This is an insta360 product. You could buy an off brand but when you are talking about a camera with waterproofing and an SD card that is in the battery compartment why would you take the chance. Warranty made not cover issues if you don’t use their product so keep that in mind and spend a few extra bucks for the right am battery.

If your going to spend so much on the camera then why cut corners with cheap inferior batteries.I have 3 of these that are charged regularly in an insta x3 charging cradle (also genuine) there's no overheating/swelling/ overcharging issues AND ..... they are waterproof and in no way will their use invalidate you cameras warranty as the use of other brands would.Highly recommended.6 stars ******

Purchased this here on amazon because if you buy it on the Insta360 website you have to pay extra shipping. This battery came in 2 days without any shipping charges and has been perfect. Excellent OE battery. I plan on buying more as I record more.

I bought 2 extra batteries and I have had excellent battery life when recording 4K @ 30 FPS. I use the camera primarily for recording my motorcycle rides and have had them last 1 hour and 45 minutes multiple times. At minimum 90 minutes per battery. I have a USB port on my motorcycle, so I can charge the other 2 while I ride and never run out of battery life. Great product!
