It seemed pretty cool at first, but it has some flaws. First, the pump is not great but it works. It doesn’t come with a reservoir and I couldn’t find one that would work for its low clearance so I had to fashion my own. The main issue is that the cups are clear, which lets a decent amount of light to hit the water so the algae quickly gets out of hand while the plants are small. I found the right size cups in black for about $10 on Amazon, so do yourself a favor and get those if you run this system. Overall, I like it for the price as it is sturdy and was fairly easy to assemble, but it could be better.
