The middle pole can't be locked, no matter how much strength is apply. That makes the effort to use it a lot higher. Almost useless

This is truly a quality item. My mistake was not measuring my 1.5" screen skimmer and this is 1.5". Did not fit even inside or outside application.

What intelligent designer makes multiple sizes instead of a common standard? That is why we have the UL standard in the first place. This appears to me to be a "bait and switch" tactic....yes, it says the sizes in the tiny print that most people do not read, but WHY would you vary the sizes between 1/16" and 3/16"??? It seems to me that someone designed the wrong size and now they are pawning all those off to unsuspecting customers. So for me, buying this item was a complete waste of money. YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS INTEX....

I wish this pole fit my basic cleaning kit. Description says it has an inner diameter of 1-1⁄16”, but it's a generous 1-1/8" inside diameter and thus does not fit. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this to anyone and especially anyone with 1-1/8" tools!

I saw some reviews that say the diameter is wrong but is not if you read carefully and choise de right tools for this pole: brush or rake or net leaf. Our pool is small (14'x42 ") and has its cover all the time, so the water stays fairly clean. Maintenance for me is easier if the cleaning accessories are light and this pole is, it also has the correct diameter (1 1/16") for the brush I had bought before of 10 ". The other day I cleaned the entire pool and I didn't feel pain in my arms and I am a 62 year old woman, I am happy with the result, now my grandchildren can continue enjoying the pool. I recommend that you do not extend the pole completely, it should be left about three inches without extending so it does not break at the joints, this should applies to all the pole that have more than one joint. I let it dry well outside in the shade, before picking up the extension and save it in the backyard shed for another cleaning day. I don't know the durability, We will see in six months what happens. I was worried after reading negative reviews, but this works fine. it's great. there's a brush for the walls and floor of the pool this works with and also the screen for removing bugs etc to clean the pool. it's very long, and almost reaches across my entire 10 ft intex pool. very sturdy, I've never had a problem switching it out from the brush to the screen or vice versa. im very pleased with it and it makes my life easier and makes my small pool feel like a 'real' pool.

Works good even after 2nd year of daily use. Only problem is the turn lock for short extension don't lock in the extended position. Don't really need that long of reach so don't really bother me.

This pole does not fit with Intex 29050E Leaf Swimming Pool Skimmer even though description says it does.

There are different types of Intex pool cleaning kits. There are the "Basic" ones and the "Deluxe" ones.They use different diameter poles.One uses a garden hose and vacuum bag, and the other uses a hose to your pool filter system.Amazon is mixing up the reviews and confusing everyone. Amazon is recommending the wrong pole (wrong diameter) for at lease the Deluxe kits.I ordered the Intex "Deluxe" kit, and the pole that Amazon, and many other reviewers, recommended. It is the wrong pole. It is too small in diameter. I do not even know if there is a pole for the Deluxe kit that is available on Amazon.
