Sturdy metal construction with large knob on tightening screw. Sized as described locks to about 77.5mm. It does not fit my Canon EF 70-200mm lens - Too big, or my Canon EF 28-300mm Lens - Too small but is perfect for the ASI 533MCPro that I purchased this for. Much cheaper than the ZWO branded mount ring and in stock!The mount foot has two tripod bolt holes the common 1/4" x 20 and the larger 3/8" x 16 thread, plus levelling Allen bolts with the Allen key supplied. See photos for more.Very pleased.

I purchased this because I broke my original Canon version. I’m very happy with this replacement. I’ve had no issues with it. It was at a good price point when I purchased it and it is made well. Solid, sturdy, all the above. I’m trusting it with $3000 worth of equipment connected to it. Definitely a go to for someone missing this mount from their kit.

I use this for my new ASI294. It provides a sure grip without denting or warping the aluminum frame of the camera. The inside padding is dense allowing for grip and and prevents plastic to metal contact. This is a thumbs up from me, and it is a lot cheaper than the offering from ZWO.
