When I ordered mine there were no reviews, but I'm happy to report that these are quality tatami and a great alternative to the usual rush grass. I haven't had any spills yet, so cannot attest to it's stain resistance, but it seems very promising.My original tatami mat has lost it's green hue with age, as seen it the photos. You can see how green the new mat is in comparison, and the great news is that since it's made with washi instead of rush grass, it will not fade the same way.I sleep on tatami to help with my back pain and posture. It will take some getting used to, but I've gotten full night sleeps on the tatami with the help of a warm kotatsu and pillow for my head.Love the thickness of the mat. It helps in creating an edge, or lip, for you to take your shoes or slippers off. The description suggests it can withstand shoes, but to maintain the cleanliness of the space I'd suggest you avoid using this in a place with high foot traffic.I added a picture of a visible seam in weaving, but this doesn't bother me much. A small visual flaw.
