Nice size sander works well for my purposes. I purchased this as a replacement for an older sander that finally gave up. The old one is virtually the same shape and size as the new sander which is why I bought the new one. I make wood carving tools as a hobby and I find that this sander is just right for removing wood quickly and cleanly.

I just received this and haven't put it to the test..I've got one in my shop that requires a forklift to move, so, it hasn't in 20 years..I need one that I could mount in my truck for craft fairs and fairly light duty work..I'm sure this will fill the bill. I don't plan on beating it to death when I have the big one to handle those beastly projects. I'll swap out the lock downs for the table as these are puny and slip..but, that's not a big deal..a 5.00 upgrade to get what I want? no prblema.
