Comparing to the 221, the 223 has more mass, slightly better control and a little warmer sounding.Would highly recommend to anyone.

For me anyway, I couldn't find a way to use this really.Ended up chucking it out. lol.At the end of the day a regular Pyrex glass slide is more practical.

Perfect slide if you want more control over patterns and fingering as you play. The finger you use the slide on can bend and is free to do work as well! Plus the brass keeps it nice and chunky. I’ve got small hands for a guy, I wear small to medium gloves, size 8-9 ring finger so based on the product description I figured this would fit perfectly on my middle finger so I could do slide and chord mixtures. Won’t go over my second knuckle on my middle finger which should be around a size 10-11. After trying tons of glass, chrome, and brass full slides, I found this small slide to be perfect for what I play.

I love this little slide! It allows me to still mostly finger chords (barre chords for example are no problem, but tricky to finger chords will be difficult) and quickly slide right when I need to.Tone is fine for me, I mostly play electric, and it has a nice solid ring compared to the glass slides I had been using.Highly recommended!

My son gave me a hand made 3-string cigar box guitar for my father's day. At first I didn't know if I should put it in a shadow box and hang it up for all to see. It is a work of art. Because it plays even better than it looks I decided to pick up a few accessories for it and enjoy it that way too. The Dunlop 223 Brass is the perfect slide for a 3-string. Thank you Dunlop.

I wanted to try it as a small slide, because if it worked it could become my main slide. It's good for two strings before you have to move your whole sliding hand up or down basically, so it could be handy in some cases, because it illiminates accidentally harmonically sounding off other strings. However, I like being able to reach all six strings with little vertical movement of my hand placement and so I'll deal with the accidental harmonics of it. Both big and small slides have their advantages and disadvantages according to a players objective and preference. So I've decided to start a collection and buy one each time I have a few extra bucks to slide by with, I have nothing negative to say about the slide, it's all a matter of need and preference anyway.

This slide is very usable for me. The shorter length allows me the freedom to actually fret notes with the slide finger if I need to. This is much better for the style that I normally play because I like to be able to switch back and forth. It does take some getting used to if you have only used full length slides. At first, I found myself constantly plucking open or muted strings because I hadn't changed the position of the slide. It's a quick learning curve to get through once you realize that you just need to change your hand position when changing strings just like when playing fretted notes. This is when the value of using a short slide was realized for me. I find it much more flexible and versatile than a full length slide.

I'm pretty decent at slide to begin with, and this makes it way easier... which makes me better. I wear it on my ring finger and it's great for switching between rhythm and lead. Also, I love brass... it corrodes and makes a really gritty tone when playing.

This slide is much shorter than is appears in the photo. The slide is only about 1-1 1/2 inches. The photo makes it look like it's about 2-3 inches.

Nice product, good price. Good resonance. Great for those single string slides during solos and when u haven't bothered drop tuning. Brother loves it.
