What I like is the safety factor from welding sparks hitting the floor and catching something in fire. So it’s a huge safety factor when used in welding.

The grommets fell off immediately, leaving ugly holes behind them. In addition, the blanket sheds hairs that cause stinging in the skin that take several hours to pass! Be careful, this is stone cold junk and dangerous! That being said, the blanket feels heavy and appears to be fire resistant.

I had a fiberglass welding blanket 20 years ago and the thing was stiff as a board. It was like trying to get a piece of corrugated cardboard to contour over car seats or whatever you're protecting. I needed another one, so I ordered this thinking that's what I was going to get. Boy was I wrong... this thing is soft and easy to bend, like an actual blanket. The 6'x6' covered both front seats when I was welding in new seat belt mounts. And it protected the seats very well from both plasma cutter sparks and MIG welding. Really nice product.

For the price this works great for what I needed, to protect my floor and work table when welding, have a 3 x 3 ft. Thin sheet of metal I put down then cover it with the blanket. And this helps to keep from ruining my work surface.

This is as attractive as it is durable. The right woven fabric is heat resistant and perfect for protecting floors and surfaces from dropped high temperature tools during craft projects like wood burning. (I wouldn’t lay the tools on the fabric, though.) I also will use it when painting.

Bought it for my Treager grill. Should have got one with a fabric cover. Seems heavy enough but I'm afraid of fibreglass getting into what I am cooking.

I bought this to put under my portable fire pit so it wouldn't damage the grass. I put a pallet on the grass and put this over the top of the pallet, which worked like a charm. It was a cheaper solution than other products that are marketed for that purpose. Also pretty thin so it folds up and is easy to store.
