This fits my Nikkor 70-300mm lense just fine. It has a soft "click" but this is only partially on. Give it a little "more" and it will snap into place very securely.

Helps prevent lens flare as advertised. It goes on easily and locks on securely. Very happy with my purchase.I like that it reverses on the lens so I don't misplace or have to search for it when I'm between short term inactivity. Fairly priced.

I recently purchased a 70-300 mm telephoto lens and required a lens hood. After researching the available lens hoods on Amazon, I selected this one.Upon receipt, it attached easily, fit snugly and was sturdy. The only issue I had was that I like using a circular polarizing filter. When the lens hood is mounted, it is difficult rotating the filter. This is the only downside that I observed. Since the design of the mount is responsible, I did not count this against the design of this lens hood.Overall, I am quite pleased with the lens hood and rate it with five stars.

It does fit the lens but it takes more force to snap into the locked position than you'd expect, but it does lock firmly. This i believe is why some reviewers said it doesnt fit. They arent locking it all the way. It is the exact same size as the nikon lens hood for this lens and seems durable enough. Does not create a vignette in photos. Pretty sure any impact strong enough to break the hood will break the camera regardless which hood you buy. Then again thats not really the function of a lens hood. For a fraction of the price of the nikon hood i have to say well done.

Die Sonnenblende passt perfekt zum neuen AF-P Objektiv. Die Montage bzw. Demontage ist sehr einfach und leicht. Der Entfall der originalen Nikon Sonnenblende ist somit leicht zu verschmerzen.

I was hesitant to get a third party hood, but the Nikon version was sold out at the time. It fits my perfectly and easily clicks into place like my other Nikon hoods. I've now been using this regularly for over a month and it's usually on my lens while hiking with my camera strapped by my side or back. This is much higher quality than I expected for the price. I highly recommend going this route if you want to save some money or can't find the Nikon brand hood.

I received a Nikkor 70- 300mm Non VR lens with a kit purchase of the Nikon d5300. It did not come with the HB- 77 lens hood nor was it available for individual purchase from Nikon in the US. After doing some searching (and purchasing 2 that would not fit), I came across this lens hood. It screws on tight but lost a star because it doesn't have the resounding "click" like the original Nikkor Nikon lens hoods. It can be reversed and screwed on when storing the lens which is a bonus. All in all, it was well worth the purchase and long shipping time.

It's a good fit on a Nikon AF-P 70-300MM VR lens and has a nice matte finish. Just not sure how long it's going to last since the mount is a bit light weight compared to the Nikon version. It does fit and snaps in place with a snug fit. The very first time was a bit firm but it seems fine now and still holds tight.
