I own this and another version which overlays the back buttons. This one is really just as convenient as the copy of the Leica which is my other thumb grip. Why I bought two, well just a mistake on my part.

It looks really good in the camera. Easy to install. It has pad protection to avoid scratching the camera. If you are looking for a less expensive option from the original, that looks and does the same function, I recommend buying it.

This is the lowest priced Q3 thumbs grip but fits very well. It slides into the hot shoe easily and stays there. The curve fits the Q3 perfectly, with some cushion in place. You still have access to the two action buttons. It also doesn't have any text or logo on it.
