Same experience as above clogs constantly. Now the axle is separating inside the axle. Trying to find a better one. John Deere shame on you for putting your name on it.

Had it 5 years now. Fill it to capacity with fertilizer or pelletized lime (140lbs) or grub control each year. No issues, except it is easier to turn the flow lever on or off while in a right turn, since lever is easier to reach with right hand. Wash it down after every use, and is light enough to pick up and store. 25 hp lawn tractor tows it easily as long as tires on spreader are pumped up. It works for me.

Don't be like me and spend 150 more to get a john deere spreader instead of a Chinese one. Assembly directions were horrible and countless mistakes. Horrible design too the thing clogges about every 30 feet. Biggest waste of 300 dollars in a very long time. Shame on john deere, horrible quality all the way around. They should really be ashamed. Whoever worked on assembly instructions needs to be fired, need a better anti clog system then a bs cotter pin about 3" above the whole, and the trap door needs to be metal since it clogs so much, punched right threw that plastic piece of crap after it clogged 3 times in the matter of 2 minutes....

Works great, assembly is a pain, instructions are not the best and item is shipped without a critical bolt that is shown on the installation instructions but is not listed on the hardware list of items. Trip to the hardware store fixed it but for this price I shouldn’t be required to fix there unprofessionalism.

Bought the agrifab spreader first. Wouldn’t rig out, so sent back. Bought the JD one. Same price at Lowe’s, and they will assemble for free.THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME PRODUCT, ONE BLACK AND ONE GREEN. JD is a little more expensive, but definitely made from the same design.

I didn’t buy this product from Amazon but did buy from another place. It lasted 4 years with using it 3 times a year on 2 acres. After 4 years the tires dry rot so bad they wouldn’t hold air longer then 15 minutes. They had tubes in them but it looked like the exposed wire from the tire dry rot punctured both tire tubes. The gears stripped out the same season the tires stopped holding air so I trashed it and bought an Agri Fab. It was properly cleaned , maintained and kept in a shed and still only got 12-15 uses out of the John Deere spreader
