This little journal kit is so cool and fun-looking, I’m almost tempted to use it myself! As it is, I gave it to my niece for her birthday, and she absolutely loves it! There’s tons to do and make. Everything is colorful and easy for an 8-12 year old to manipulate and enjoy. Best of all IMHO, it encourages her to use her own creativity, imagination, and writing! I love that aspect of this kit! It really encourages my niece to be inventive. I went with the ‘Style A’ ket because I appreciate the very positive, affirming messages as well (e.g., “You are smart, You are kind, You are important!”). All-in-all, I found this to be a wonderful kit for young girls!

This would make a great gift for a young person interested in journaling. It comes with everything you need to personalize your Journal and make it your own. The materials provided are good quality and there's plenty of them. It definitely seems designed for the younger crowd. If you're not familiar with the advantages of journaling, the process actually creates cognitive changes and helps people process their thoughts in a way that might be very beneficial to preteens and teens. This is a good kit and recommended.

This is probably better for older, more organized kids. We got it for my 8 year old who is not organized and wasn't quite sure what to do with it. Its pretty good quality. There's a lot to it.

Whole bunch of items make up this diary set.The notebook itself: is a nice six by nine notebook that is coil bound. The covers are cardboard; they are not the thickest, but they feature silver foiling that looks really nice. The pages are completely blank and fairly thin, so the pens may bleed through, but they are usable.The set also includes a black gel pen for writing, along with two very thin gel pens that feel like ink refills. One is purple glitter, and the other is red glitter. The box calls them “highlighters” but they are definitely gel pens. There is also a small ruler, a glue stick, and two rolls of glitter washi tape.Additionally, there is a collection of smaller stickers, including picture frames, a variety of themed stickers such as jeeps, smiley faces, and characters, a handful of heart-shaped paper clips, and two magnetic bookmarks to mark your place in your journal.I think it's a really nice gift set. It comes in a box where everything is nicely arranged. Overall, it is a nice set and will make a really cute gift. It is definitely girly, but not overly so, making it a thoughtful gift option.

These are always a hit with little girls. I like that this one had no errors-- as far as gifting goes, some of them have upside-down products inside the saran wrap which makes those ones seem cheap. I think you won't be disappointed with this one, our quality control was great with this!

I got this for my daughter as a gift for her birthday. She really liked how colorful it was and everything that it came with. She really enjoyed the stickers the most. Overall it is a pretty good value for the money depending on your kid and that they like.

This is a wonderful gift for any young journaler or scrapbooker. It has markers, a pencil, book marks, glue stickers, heart clips and washi tape. I used to draw and doodle in my notebook when I was a girl. Kits like this give children so many more creative and crafty options. They can express themselves just as much with these tools as they can with what they write.The notebook can be used as a diary, scrapbook or even a school notebook. The items are all color coordinated, so the recipient can make something as stylish as it is fun. I think a gift like this encourages kids and teens to write and draw, because it makes it fun to do. Later, it will be such a time capsule for them, capturing who they were and what they thought at one moment in time.The items aren't expensive, but most of them don't have to be, to be effective. I would note that the tassle did not last too long after my daughter attached it to the notebook. The chain was not sturdy.
