INSTALLATION TIPS

Since the cybertruck tailgate liner comes in curled packaging, the edges may be a little warped when you first receive it. We recommend the following methods to restore it to its original shape

Method 1. Use a heavy object to flatten the mat

Method 2. Place the mat on a flat surface in the sun for one day (two days if not exposed to direct sunlight)

Method 3. Rinse with hot water to remove wrinkles and creases

The product itself is good quality. The design needs attention. It also needs more adhesive points to really seat well. (Especially along the top) You will notice that there are no images in the product page showing the fit with the tailgate up and tonneau cover closed.the mat can only fit one way. After lining up and installing it, I realized that it really did not work where the tonneau cover meets the tailgate. This tailgate mat interferes with the seal. The intended weather stripping on the tonneau cover does not seal against the mat. If the mat was an inch shorter there would be no interference. Back to the drawing board.

The tailgate mat for my Cybertruck was very easy to install, but I made sure to properly prep the surface before applying the tape for a secure fit.
