I have been using Velox bar plugs for over 50 years. I've been increasingly disenchanted with them recently; I think they must have increased their diameter, because I can no longer get them into the older handlebars I have on my vintage bikes. I wanted the vintage look of Velox, but i decided to try these because they looked like they had a wider range of bar i.d. that they would fit. They work just like you'd expect; easy to install, regardess of how little or much tape you push into the bar end. Great range of colors. I will order them again.

These are effective bar end plugs, but make sure to check every other ride or so for tightness, or you'll lose them on the trail.

The blue aluminum is a nice touch of color, and these plugs perform just fine. One splurge I don't regret, plus these never occasionally fall out, as did the original plugs on my bike.

You could get a cheaper bar end plug but it won’t have the fit and finish of this one. The mechanism to secure the cap is superior than the typical plastic expansion plug. Add some bling to your bike with this reusable end cap.
