I love the ruler. I am using it with 60mm rotary cutter but I’m not sure how long it will last. Some bits of plastic have chipped off where you start the cut

It's great for multiple cuts. It helps to be accurate for quilting and doesn't shift on me while cutting.

It's a great concept, but when I attempted two layers of fleece for one inch by five inch fringes (a no sew double layer fleece fringed blanket)--it didn't perform. None of my cuts were clean, and I took care to use sharp new blades. When I used my conventional quilting grid and edge: all cuts were clean. I think the slots prevented my blades from biting both layers. Unfortunate, as I have a 60 by 72 inch rectangle to fringe. That's going to be a lot of cuts with a conventional ruler. . .oh well, my bad.Two days later: updating my review. I thought, why not a larger diameter rotary cutter--is there one? ( I was using my usual 45 mm cutter. Don't laugh, experienced quilters. I didn't know). Well, there are 60 mm rotary cutters, and I now have one, and that has solved the problem of double fleece layers and slotted ruler. I still have to apply some muscle on the cut, and pull it both ways through the slot, but I am getting consistent cuts with very few moves of the ruler. And could slice pizza on the side. Five stars for the ruler. I recommend a 60 mm rotary cutter to use with it.

This ruler is absolutely invaluable for cutting many strips/squares all at once without having to lift it every time, thus eliminating the possibility of accidentally moving your fabric and having it mis-aligned. I have cut an entire yard worth of perfect 2 1/2" strips in minutes, and it was so fast and easy that I no longer dread the cutting part of quilt-making since there is no re-positioning and re-measuring and re-checking, etc. every time you make a cut. I have made 5" squares as well using this wonderful tool and they were all uniform and perfect! Once you use this ruler, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it!

I bought this ruler on the recommendation of a quilting blogger (can't remember which one right now). It arrived very promptly as all Amazon purchases do in a HUGE box - which, since it is over 18" square is understandable. I've used it several times since receiving it a couple of weeks ago and while it does cut accurately as promised it also seems to eat my rotary blades. I don't understand why but after a couple of swipes, all of a sudden I have to repeatedly make the same cuts and it seems as though my cutter develops flat spots????where it bumps along the cutting slot. I will continue to use it but I just make 3-4 swipes along the same opening to get all the cuts and them do a couple more "misses" once I remove the ruler. Would I recommend it? I'm not sure. Like I say it does what it's supposed to but blades are expensive!

This ruler was recommended to me by a quilting teacher. I love it! I am making a log cabin quilt and the rulerallows me to cut strips in just a fraction of the time that it used to take. It is a real time saver. It's very simpleand easy to use...and the price at Amazon was half the price of the retail stores in my area. The fabric is doubled and layered under the ruler (I cut 4 layers at a time)..so that it is possible to cut a 48 inch strip with just one swipe of the rotary cutter. I have not tried it for making squares, triangles, diamonds, etc. but expect that it will be great for that too. I would recommend this ruler to anyone who is a serious quilter or to someone just getting started....it takes the chore out of cutting yards and yards of strips.

This ruler is so precise and quick! Just keep one hand firmly down, while cutting with the other hand so to keep the rulerin place and lined up on the fabric. Makes cutting strips, and again cross cutting several strips and layers at a time superfast and accurate !! Love this product, and I highly recommend it ! Also takes less hand pressure, than a regular ruler. Toeliminate losing my place while quickly cutting, I place small pieces of painters tape on the ruler at each cut.
