Having just moved to the mountains I decided to pickup some snow chains for my MK7 Sportwagen. I went with the Konig K-Slim 097 as that's what Konig's site advised would fit my Sportwagen.First impressions- Easy enough to install for a 40 year old with a not-so-great back; but I would certainly suggest practicing in the dry before you need them. Making sure they're untangled before you start is key. Once you've got them on the wheels and tightened you have to drive about 300', stop, and re-tighten. After that you're good to go and the tightening process is very fast. Presume 10 mins to put them on and 20 seconds to re-tighten. Removal is also very fast. Maybe 2 minutes per side.Review: Wow. Just wow. FWD Diesel is where it's at for traction and low end torque, which should be amazing in snow; but I have Michelin Pilot all seasons on, which have minimal packed snow ability. Once I put these Konigs on the front wheels it was a night and day difference. I felt fully confident in the 3" of plowed, packed, some iced-over snow I tested it in. I bought these chains for use on a ‘19/‘20 Renault Kadjar AWD. The vehicle is equipped with 18” wheels and 215/55 continental branded summer tires. Although these chains aren’t listed compatible with the vehicle, I chose the size listed for the tire size, and did some cross checking with other products and manufacturers and was confident enough they’d work. I’ve used them twice in winter conditions that rendered vehicles without traction aids essentially useless. No wheel or tire damage and no clearance issues to the body or suspension components. Quality seems sufficiently high. Installation takes a couple minutes per side and is pretty straight forward. The only issue I’ve encountered is that it is possible to rotate the cable ends and outer chain ring, the parts that connect together, in a manner that twists the chains that lay across the tire tread upon connection. A bit hard to describe, but if you notice the cross chains appear to be twisted just disconnect and rotate the connection ends until everything lays flat. In summary I think they’re good quality chains, function well, install relatively easily, and are fairly priced.

These snow chains are of great quality and this particular model works well on my 2008 Smart fortwo vehicle, these snow chains are rare in the USA and after doing my research I was able to find them on Amazon for a reasonable price, thank goodness this seller had them in stock.
