Sharp & Durable Japanese Steel
The blade edge is Forged Japanese high-carbon steel. It features excellent sharpness and long-lasting sharpness.
Quality Laminated Blade Structure
The blade edge (Japanese steel) is laminated by soft iron. The layered construction of the two steel materials increases blade durability and improves sharpening ease.
Protruding Tip Guard
This NATA is called "Hashi-Tsuki" or "Ishi-Tsuki" NATA and has a protruding tip at the tip of the blade. This guard offers greater protection against breaking or chipping the blade, as it stops the blade before coming in contact with the ground. It can also be used for tending vines, thin branches, and gathering fallen leaves.
Single Bevel for Extra Sharpness
The single-bevel blade is ideal for cutting and shaving wood. This blade has a sharper bite than the double-bevel blade and is more suitable for cutting work.
*A double-bevel blade is more suitable for splitting wood.
Heavy Duty Tool
This is Heavy-Duty NATA that is designed to use in the same work place rather than carrying around. The heavier, sturdier forged blade improves work efficiency.

Heavy duty tool. Sharp.The handle could be made better, needs the edges where it sandwiches the tang smoothed down and would be much nicer if it was a full tang.It does feel unbalanced / blade-heavy. Overall a good tool, made even better with some minor modification.
