The KA-15S made the ukulele accessible to everyone - a high-quality constructed Mahogany instrument with warm, full-bodied sound at an affordable price. We have expanded the 15 Series to include: Soprano Black (KA-15S-BLK), Soprano Long Neck (KA-15SLNG), Soprano Spruce Top (KA-15S-S), two with Hawaiian Tattoo laser etching (KA-15S-H1 & KA-15S-H2), and the traditional mahogany instrument now in Concert (KA-15C) and Tenor (KA-15T). I bought this hoping to upgrade from a Horse tenor I also purchased on Amazon. I must admit the sound of this uke is a little better than the Horse but EVERYTHING else was much worse. The fret wires were sharp, all of them! The overall finish was much lower quality, to the point that I heard my forearm on the finish as I strummed! I am a beginner and the neck was narrower than the Horse making chords much harder for my beginner hands. It was exactly twice the price of the Horse and half the quality... thank goodness for Amazon's return policy! Take a look at Rich Davis's YouTube channel, he has great recommendations for beginners and look past this product. Thanks Rich!

This is a nice beginner's Ukulele or even for an experienced player. Build quality of these Kala instruments is not as good as other brands. However, both of the two Kala Uke's that I tried had better sound projection than others that I compared. You can see my comparison reviews by searching on YouTube for "Ibanez UEWT5 vs Cordoba 15TM vs Kala KA-15T vs Kala KA-TEM Ukulele Review." Also watch "Cordoba 15TM vs Kala KA-15T Ukulele Comparison and Review." If you buy this, I suggest having someone check the setup of the instrument after receiving if you don't know what to look for. If it's good, it should serve you well.

Did not match the image on Amazon. Nice-looking uke but fretboard was not lighter walnut wood as expected. Also, a lot of buzzing strings, and it wasn’t due to fingering positions. A disappointment overall.

Me enviaron un ukelele con el diapason diderente, no corresponde al de la foto, en las descripciones aparecia como nogal pero este parece otra madera mucho mas oscura como podran ver en la fotografia, supongo sera rosewood, la cuestion es que no noto diferencia con otro ukelele makala (la segunda Marca de Kala) que dicho sea de Paso parece estar construido con los mismos materiales

Un prodotto davvero di qualitá nonostante il prezzo di fascia medio bassa.Arrivato in anticipo sui tempi di consegna, imballato molto bene.Nella confezione era presente pure la custodia con comodi spallacci per indossarlo come uno zaino.La custodia non é di ottima fattura, ma fa il suo dovere.Lo strumento, suona molto bene, nonostante le prime volte si scordi di frequente. (Problema risolto dopo le prime 10 accordature circa)Le corde sono molto buone, made in italy.Le meccaniche per l'accordatura sono davvero di qualitá. Lo stile é quello dell'ukulele classico, nonostante il tenore sia piu grande di un classico soprano.Possiede gia montata la vite per l'aggancio di un eventuale tracolla (non inclusa).Il suono é molto dolce, piu profondo del soprano, e quindi adatto per arpeggi dolci e melodici. (Da provare wake me up when september end)Davvero lo consiglio, sono molto soddisfatto del prodotto.É adatto per principianti, e ci si trova decisamente meglio per chi come me ha la mano grossa, rispetto alle versioni piu piccole.

My original review was completely negative as the ukelele failed to hold a tune. After stretching the cords for a couple hours, it holds a tune fantastic and I am adjusting my review accordingly. The sound is very warm and it's easy to play.

This review was for a Kala tenor ukulele. Kala makes a good affordable instruments. For the price they are hard to beat. This is a product I trust. The sound is great, the strings are good quality. I really like the tenor size, because it is easier to play, and the pitch is more mellow than a soprano uke . I would buy this again, and recommend it to friends.
