These sound great with several dip switch options for exactly how your room and desk are laid out. Perfect for the untreated small space. Unbelievable bass response and the stereo detail with amazing clarity is outstanding. Make sure you understand that these are "Ultra Near Field" which means they are meant to be literally arms length (3 feet +-) away from your ears.

I was looking for a set of honest monitors to compliment the Beyerdynamic headphones I was using.Actually I was looking for monitors I could use first and double check with the headphones. I did a lot of research to try and find something that worked well in an untreated room. At first I was looking for something cheap that would do the job and settled on the Eris 3.5 cause of all the great reviews. Then I went from having to chose between the Yamaha HS5 or the PreSonus Eris E5 XT 5.25. That's when I happened on all the great reviews for Kali speakers . I discovered their Ultra-Nearfield Studio Monitor System and being something of high end quality that takes all the guessing work out of mixing in an untreated room, I decided it was the choice for me. It was a little more than I was willing to spend but I thought if this works, I'll probably never need anything else. Before this, I used the KRK's in the past but found them a little to bassy for me. I mix mainly rock and not hip hop. So was I blown away by the In UNF system? No but that was because I seen so many vids on these blowing smoke about them, that I was expecting to hear the best thing I have ever heard, however, they are really good and with listening to the first piece of music "Fleetwood Mac" I was hearing things in that song I never knew was there. So they are fantastic for mixing and I'm more than happy. However, there are a few things I dislike. I'm not crazy about the look of them. That's just a personal preference so I won't let it effect my rating. Plus I seen in another review that they don't pair well with a MOTU M2 or M4. I have the M2 and I'm hoping I just have something set wrong cause there is definitely a difference between the sound quality of going through the M2 as apposed to just using the IN UNF as a sound card. Using it as a sound card gives me much better sound quality. Using the MOTU has the sound leaning a bit to one side. I'm also not going to let this effect my rating cause I haven't had the time to dive into it more. It could be totally something I'm over looking. My rating is based totally on whether these translate well on other sound systems after mixing and so far with the few mixes I did, they translate very well.

I was surprised by how good these sound! Once you get them set up correctly, they sound fantastic! I could not be more happy with these speakers

I bought these to replace a pair of 12 year old large monitors that weren’t cutting it for my home studio. I was a little hesitant because they were so inexpensive but I was impressed with the sound of my recent mixes when compared to the monitors they were replacing. I’m very happy with this purchase.

The Kali tweeter / mid cone design is impressive in every monitor it's included in and that holds up here too! The bass unit provides a genuinely clear image of the low end that you'll miss with a lot of smaller near-field monitors. Super impressed with the quality of this kit, considering how affordable it is. If you are in a less than ideal environment for mixing, the in-UNF makes up for a lot of those shortcomings. Happy to have these!

I have a hobby studio and this is the first pair of 'real' monitors I have used in this space and they sound amazing. I was hesitant because it seems gimmicky but after finally biting the bullet I can say that my hesitation was all in vein. The clarity and stereo image is great. The only problem I have run into at all was some line noise when running my laptop into it via 3.5mm jack that could very well be a hardware issue on my end. The usb jack works great with my laptop though so no issues there. This is a great system that suits my needs perfectly. I am a software developer by trade so I listen to a lot of non-production audio through my computer (video games, movies, etc) and everything I push through these things sounds Amazing.Overall, These are a great entry point for anyone wanting to work on audio production for under $1000. There is a reason they keep going out of stock. They sound amazing for such a tiny footprint and I would recommend these to anyone I know.

They were great for the 5 days they lasted (no heavy use, drops, or spills). Then one morning, no audio coming out. Every time i cut it on the Kali logo lights up orange for about 4 seconds, then the light goes off. When i press the sleep/wake button nothing happens. When I hold the button down, the Kali logo lights up again but goes right back off and still no audio. I unplugged it for hours then replugged it. Same thing. The sound quality of the system itself was amazing when it worked but for the price of $600, I should not have this problem. I haven't used them in 3 days because I can't get sound to come out anymore. I've also tried multiple inputs and cords.

Replaced V1 Kali Audio LP6's. immediately noticed the difference. The image is very solid clear and upfront, no harshness and no lack of bass. Don't forget to set your dip-switches for your setup, sometimes combining them works out better. You will have to test them. I feel no need for room calibration software. Now I have more space on my desk for other things! Lastly, the build of the bass unit and satellites seem very good and do not feel and look cheap.
