These are cute & fit as expected. I have other shorts from Kanu that are fantastically comfortable that I wore all last summer & even have hiked in. So when I wanted some board shorts to wear over my bikini bottoms for modesty, I thought these would be great. Unfortunately, the only time I wore them they chaffed my thighs terribly & almost ruined my waterpark day with my family :(

These are exactly what I was looking for! They don’t have the stretchy elastic in the back so it gives you a more modern look and the length is just perfect! Can’t say enough about these. I’m super excited. I am a gal who doesn’t really care to wear a bikini bottoms anymore. These just come up to the perfect place on my waistline to still look mod and cool, yet covered. Look and fit exactly as pictured. I say Order true to size. I am 5’5” 125 and ordered size 6

These are really nice and the sizing is accurate. That being said, it’s not stretchy at all. So the problem I have is it fits in the hips and butt but I have gapping in the back but that is exactly what I expected according to the size chart. It doesn’t bother me because I don’t think these will fall down and I bought them to wear over my bikini. They feel nice and I would definitely go by your hip size rather than waist measurement

I’m 5’5, 185 lbs, and usually wear a size 14 in bottoms. My hips are 45in. I ordered these in size 14 and I couldn’t even get them up all the way. I will be returning these, but they seem to be a decent option for the price if they had actually fit me.Pros: the laces are tacked down, so there’s no risk of them falling out if they become untied.Cons: the fly is only 2 small patches of Velcro instead of a full strip.There is a small Velcro flap pocket on each side, about the depth of one finger’s length.The fabric has no stretch. These do not have any mesh inner lining.

They seem nice. The material is soft and light weight. I ordered a size 4 in aqua and the fit was great.I decided to order a second pair in the slate gray. The gray was also marked a size 4 but was about 1/2 to 3/4 inch bigger in the waist than the first pair. Just be aware different colors may fit slightly different.

I'm 5"7, 125 pounds. I bought the size 4, which is my normal size. They fit perfectly. The are a bit loose in the waist, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. The length is nice, not too short, but not too long either. I've only worn them once so I can't speak for durability. But, I can say that I loved them. They were comfortable to walk around in and to swim as well.

It's hard to tell my size since it varies my brand. I have a lot of size 14 pants and am bloated a lot these days so I went with a size 14. There is still 2 fingers of breathing room when at my waist and the pants can slightly drop to my hips comfortably, but I can't pull them up/down while tied which is good. Kinda wish I got a size 12 though and just tied it loose, but glad I didn't buy too small and I'm sure I'll appreciate the breathing room. Cloth is comfortable and inseam length is exactly what I wanted (short enough to not give me a weird tan line but long enough to be a buffer for my thigh rub). Have yet to dip in the water with them but it seems like standard medium thickness board short material so I'm sure it will be standard performance.There is a little flap of cloth behind the velcro zipper so if you do have to leave open a little you're protected in case you aren't wearing bottoms underneath or the velcro won't grab onto bottoms and fuzz them up if you do have them on. The pockets on side are pretty small; enough to hold some keys but not big enough for a phone (wide enough maybe but not tall enough) or glasses. The tie is sewn to one flap so you can't lose it in the wash even if it is completely unlaced.Exactly what I was looking for. If I didn't need them right away I maybe would have returned for 1 size smaller but not displeased with current size at all.

Love these shorts! The colour aqua is bright and colourful and they are really well-made and decently priced. Don't get fooled by the cpmments that say they are made really small. I am a size 4 and I ordered 1 size 6 after reading some comments. Mistake! They were way too big and size 4 fits perfectly with enough space to be active.People if you gained weight during the Winter, don't put it on the shorts' fault! :)

I'm not sure why some people see to think these fit so small. Maybe the small sizes are too small and the large sizes are a little large? I almost didn't order them because of the reviews, but figured that with the "free returns" option, it was at least worth a shot. I usually wear a size 12, but I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant, so my typical (generous) size 14 shorts aren't fitting, even under my belly. THESE, however, are quite comfortable in the size 14. The front ties allow for a little adjustment and there's a stretchy panel behind the laced area so that the front can be a little open without being exposed. The size 14 is working great for me - I'd say they're more of a size 16, or at least somewhere in between a 14 and 16. The legs have plenty of room and come away off of my hips so they aren't clinging to my thighs, which I love.Aside from the sizing, these are a great pair of shorts. They're definitely JUST board shorts. There's no built-in bikini bottom, so you'll need that separately. They're also quite thin - and obviously, white - so they're a bit transparent, so that bikini bottom should probably be a white or nude color if you're concerned about that.
