I don't know how to explain this and it's hard to capture in a photo. But when you look at the filter, it looks like it has a tint to it, but not really a tint, and it doesn't seem to add any color the build quality is nice. The glass is nice and I would use this at night.Time for night clubs. In case there's any lasers, but I think nowadays, people are mainly just using really strong lights

My buddy and I recently got some handheld lasers and were experimenting with filming the little shows we've set up and seeing as how we got some pretty cool footage, figured we should probably invest in some protection before doing some FPV style filming with them. Having used Kase filters before, this seemed like a good option and it worked well giving me peace of mind during the single shoot we've done so far. Build quality is excellent as expected from Kase and the magnetic system is extremely convenient, especially paired with other magnetic filters which makes swapping them incredibly easy. The glass and coatings appear to be very high quality as well, with very, very minimal purplish distortion occasionally creeping in but my buddy was able to remove it in post. There is a noticeable (if you look hard) decrease in brightness but this seems to be the norm for the anti-laser coatings, so I can't fault it there. It's a pretty specialized filter but I would say it's worth it seeing as how a direct hit on the sensor with a high powered laser would probably be quite costly. There's nothing keeping me from recommending this filter from Kase, so it's definitely worth a shot if you're in need of one for this relatively niche use case.

I do a lot of concert work and some of the effects involve lasers and crazy lights, this is the best filter for those types of situations.Fits the 77mm perfectly 5 Stars

I love the Kase Wolverine Magnetic system, and this one continues to work well with it. I'm still testing this filter with various different types of lasers but it seems to help diminish the intensity but not exactly kill the pronounced effects of lasers hitting the sensor directly. I remember reading once about how super yachts have laser projectors now that scan for the reflection of a camera sensor (kind of like how hidden camera detectors work) and then sends a direct laser to burn in the cmos sensor...maybe this filter is meant to limit that? You can visually see a color change in the filter as it cuts down some sodium bulb hues and takes away some of the strong color cast that it has.

this is a very good filter to protect your sensitive and expensive cameras. I find the best place to use it is in the evening if you're watching a laser show or if you're at a concert when you're taking pictures or anywhere where there could be a lot of lasers usage. This will protect your camera from a direct shot from a laser

Cameras are a major purchase for me and lenses are no different. I shoot in laboratories often as well as manufacturing plants so this lens filter is a very welcome addition to my stable of equipment. It protects my sensors from laser damage as well as protects my lens from scratches and dust. The Kase magnetic system is great and if this is your first foray into the magnetic filter world, you will enjoy the ease it brings to the table when changing filters in the field.

Kase has become my go-to for filters, and this one is another quality product from them.I'll generally be using it as lens protection when out hiking, where the danger of stumbling or falling is always present. Far less chance of damaging my very expensive lens glass with one of these in place. What makes this tempered optical glass filter most useful is the quick and easy attachment. Most of the time I won't put another piece of glass in front of a lens on the off-chance it negatively affects my images. Where there are benefits I'll make an exception, and for out in the field this is one of them. I can pop it in place in a few seconds, making it far more likely I'll use it.Anyone still using the old style screw-in filters should consider switching to Kase magnetic's.
