The battery works after a full charge, but it's charging cradle is cheaply made and loosely dangles from wall while mounted on power outlet/s.Fine though when on power strip.

The original battery device for my decades old Sharp VL-E630U failed. I bought this device hoping it would allow me to begin using the camera again. And it works just fine. It did take a while for the device to charge up for the first time, but it has worked okay since.

I am using it to power an old 8mm tape camcorder to transfer the tapes to MP4s (lost the power adapter). On a full charge I can only get about an hour of tape played before the battery dies and it takes 5 or 6 hours to recharge. I will try a different battery as a backup for this one so I can convert more than half a tape day!

I was concerned about ordering this battery for my old movie camera but it charged perfectly and battery worked just as should. Well worth the money to be able to access the old memories.
