Three stars because I’m sure they’re gonna work just fine, and do the job. They’re annoying to put together, but it’s still pretty easy. The hardware was a mess, and it’s some of it is missing. We had to go half of the nuts we needed for the bolts.

Kind of a pain to install. The rubber boot was warped. Some of the nuts were poorly threaded. The supplied straps aren’t very good and I’ll be replacing them. They do hold the kayaks so that is a plus I guess

These were very challenging to put together. Not all the screws fit properly on the nuts. The wrench that comes with it does not fit so you will need to use your own. I ended up returning it because it was so challenging.

Light weight construction. Didn't come with all the nuts to finish putting together. Had to go to hardware store to get 16 lock nuts.

Product works as it should. Assembly took some time and I suggest using your own wrench vs the one the kit came with. The cradles are smaller than other ones I’ve owned, but I was still able to transport a 10’ kayak (a short distance) just fine. There’s a lot of hardware with these racks and all the screws don’t look “appealing” on my car, which is why I’ve lowered the rating - higher end/more expensive brands have better designs that are easier to attach to crossbars with less hardware showing. Overall, these will do the job, but eventually I’ll upgrade these.

I recently went on a road trip with my kayaks about 200miles no issues easy peasy.. was skeptical at first because it states you can't go over 50mph or so but I was doing 70mph with no issues. I would guess it all depends on the racks you have on your vehicle.

This is a pretty solid pair of kayak racks and I have no concern about them coming off. I'm using it on a Subaru Crosstrek with OEM-style aero crossbars installed
