It works but ... brass nuts have a distinctive bright sound. If you don't want that, get a TUSQ nut. TUSQ is great. Btw, the nut affects the entire sound of the guitar. This sounds delusional -- intuitively, the nut should only affect open chords. But I have heard this with my own ears on guitars where the only diffence is the nut material. In a guitar with a decent body, when you hit a string, the body vibrates (you can actually feel this on a good guitar) and I believe this causes sympathetic vibrations in part of the string not over the pickup. Also, this is obvious but brass nuts are harder to file than plastic or bone or TUSQ.

Nut slots are wayyy too shallow, unless you have skills with a Dremel, or don't mind using nut files on brass for several hours to achieve the nut to your liking, save your money or buy something else

This is by far the easiest install I have a had with a brass nut. There was no adjustments that needed to be made.

This nut is exactly how it is described, but the edges are sharp. Broke a string before grinding them down, but it came out well and I am so happy with the results.
