Locks the car, the general car key in this gear is equivalent to locking the steering wheel, the steering wheel should not have much movement.
ON
Except for the starter, the rest of the basic equipment is turned on, the steering wheel can be unlocked, and the air conditioner can be used, but the air conditioner has no cooling effect because the compressor is not started at this time, only the blower is running, and the natural wind is blown out. The key is in the ON state during normal driving, and all circuits in the whole vehicle are in working state at this time.

Good luck getting to this to stay in position and not spin every time you turn the key. Seems I cannot get it tight enough even with channel locks.

The ignition switch is advertised as having screw terminals and it does not have those. The terminals on this switch are push on connectors. The one I am replacing has screw terminals and all I was going to do was use the old screws but they will not work on this switch so I have to go buy some new connectors which I had not planed on doing. It is an inconvenience and additional expense.

My husband wanted this for an old car that he is restoring. The car isn't running yet due to some other upgrades that are in the process so I can't say if this is 100% correct for his application, but he does seem to think this will work.

I wanted a keyed switch to use with my remote hobby rocket launch box. Something that I could use to make sure no one but me could power the launch. The switch itself is pretty well made, the metal housing feels pretty sturdy, and the brass contacts on the back are nice and thick so I dont have to worry about the spade connectors falling off. The keys are a little cheap feeling, as they're essentially just pressed sheet steel, and the teeth aren't very unique so I would guess it would be quite easy to bump the pins and turn the switch without the key. That's a bit of a specific issue though so I still feel it deserves the full 5 stars for simply being exactly what I needed for my project.
