The locksmith was able to cut and program this key for me 2017 WRX Premium - no problem. The local locksmith charged me $100 for his work/time. Having gone directly to a locksmith or lowes kiosk would have cost me a little over $200

This did not work for my 2014 Subaru crosstrek. Only the ignition works. The keyless entry buttons could not be programmed, they do not work with my car's computer. Programmed by a locksmith. Very disappointing.

I programmed the first key five years ago myself now I can’t do it myself. I have to go to Subaru who wants $90 for less than a minute work

Used the Amazon Vehicle Match system to purchase this key for a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek. Received the key and could not program via online methods. Purchased a programming device, would not work. Went to locksmith, it is the wrong chip. 2018 Crosstrek needs an "H" chip and this is a "G" chip. Nothing in the description denoted what type of chip was in this keyfob. Because it took so long for me to finally figure out why it wouldn't work, the seller would not do anything for me because I was over the 30/60 day window. Amazon customer service did give me a small account credit for the inconvenience, but I still don't have a working key.

I took my key blank to an automotive locksmith - they were able to cut the key from my valet key and were able to program the key after it was cut - worked perfectly!
