Symphony conductors, band leaders and choral directors specifically request the baton because it is consistent in quality, balance and weight. Conductors experience less fatigue with King David batons due to their light weight and balance. The shafts are made of the finest straight grain birch and maple - kiln dried to prevent warp. The white high luster coating is heat set to provide long service and lasting beauty.

I really like how the weight is balanced in these; the stick is significantly heavier than the handle part of the baton. (I know a lot of people prefer balanced batons between the stick and handle, so be aware that this is not the case for these batons). They bend/ warp somewhat easily, but for the price I find it's worth it to just replace them every few months/ years and to keep a few extra on hand. If you keep them in a case they'll bend less quickly.I don't have very big hands (am a 5' tall woman), so I found the cork handle to be a bit large. But when I sandpapered it down, it was a better fit for my hand.

Great for the price. Does the job. A bit fragile...suggest a carrying case.

I would only reccomend this to the most inexperienced conductor. It is poorly balanced and weak. There was no tube to protect it inside the box.

Light, well balanced, solid. The cork handle is a bit too long for my personal taste, but the grip is comfortable and it sits well in the palm.

I have purchased this before and broke it. I reordered it because of it's great price and nice fit this baton has in my hand. I would order 100 more of these batons if I needed to!

Nice, solid build. This baton should last me a long time. Very near my college baton from the 1970's conducting class I took and have used ever since.

I was taking a conducting class at my university and needed a baton. This one was super cheap and worked great. It was sturdy and light. The handle is made of cork so I'm sure I could break it if I tried but if you're careful then there's nothing to worry about.

This baton is a great price, but people with smaller hands might have an issue using it. The tapered cork end is very long, so to properly hold the baton, it might be uncomfortable unless your hand is decently large. The baton itself is adequate for its price. I use it for conducting class, but that balance is a bit awkward, so I wouldn't use it for long. Also, the baton came fairly bent. It is quite noticeable. Not a big deal for practice, but would look funny in front of a group of musicians.
