My nice baton broke near the end of the last school year, and when I discovered I'd be again conducting an ensemble this fall, I scrambled to find a baton to use. This baton is very light and has a very small grip. There's no need to worry about it being balanced since it is pretty insubstantial in the first place. That being said, it does its job just fine. I've just used better.
