I have had this pot for several years now and have used it many times. It makes a great stew outside on a campfire. The smoke from the burning wood really adds something wonderful to the flavor of beef stew. It is nice and big, though a bit heavy. But it still fits nicely in my oven for seasoning. I re-season after every roast out, and keep it stored in the original box. I just purchased a second stew pot for my dad so we can continue the fun at his house when we visit with the kids. I highly recommend it for those who like doing this kind of outdoor cooking.

Just received this great looking pot. I have used a lot of cast iron cookware and without having used this one yet, I can tell it’s a very good quality product. Casting is very even and smooth. The lid is a real back saver instead of a heavy cast iron one., and fits like a glove. I can tell this will be handed down to the next generation and provide decades of use. I bought mine used, like new. And it is like new. Very satisfied and it arrived in less than two days after ordering with free shipping. Can’t beat it for the $107.50 I paid. Get one!

Beaux ya! A real beauty, well seasoned and a good casting. Lid is aluminum, as stated. but is very good quality, not cheap, good fit with flat top. Very heavy and thick, looking forward to a lifetime of good cajun cooking. Red beans for Monday after Christmas and cornbeef and cabbage for New Years. Will update after a few meals

I used this pot for the first time this past weekend when I made several gallons of stew to feed 20 hungry people at a camping event I attended. It was easy to handle thanks to the carry hooks and not to heavy to lift even when full (I am not a weakling, but I'm not brawny, either). I used it to saute a giant bowl of onions, brown another giant bowl of stew meat, and then simmered the stew until lunchtime. The lid fits nice and tight, too. Cleanup was easy since the pot is pre-seasoned, and I now have it cleaned and oiled and ready for the next use!
