Taking back my bad review. You can install this with just a large wrench and a bowl, the gaskets will greate a water tight seal, but you will end up with standing water and a small crevice under the drain. It's not compatible with plumbers putty, so you will need 100% silicone. Discard the top gasket and glue that thing down.

Very difficult to find replacement sink parts in antique gold (retro color?)at a reasonable cost. However this assy was a very close match to my existing bath fixtures and was elated! Good quality and would highly recommend!

I have a designer faucet and replacing my flange became a bigger ordeal than I expected. Ordered many different ones from plastic to the expensive brands along with going to plumbing stores and returned them all. The plastic ones looked cheap and the more expensive ones were overpriced especially when it looked the same to this one. One reviewer said he returned it since it had too many parts and leaked. Mine did too initially until I realized it was user error. I only wrapped 1 time with teflon tape instead of 3 times at the tailpipe screw-on extension. It has been leak proof for an entire month of constant use and matches my other sink perfectly. I did order 2 just incase I have to replace the other one so I’m not waiting 2 weeks to replace again.

This Kingston Brass brand Antique Brass finished drain is the perfect one to replace your "faded, scratched" drain with. My situation is that we have a cleaning lady who comes in every 2-weeks and cleans our residence. A few months ago I was changing these out every 9-months bedause the finish didn't last. With Kingston Brass the Antique Brass finish stays nice and clear. I don't know what finishing process they use, but it's much better than the former ones I bought through Amazon.

I was very disappointed in this product which was surprising since I have purchased other types of drains from the same manufacturer and they were great. This particular sink drain has a bad design. It separates into several different parts including a threaded connection right where it goes through the sink leaving lots of areas for leaks. Mine leaked! I tried to resolve with thread tape and then even tried pipe dope on the threads but it still leaked. I replaced with a Moen drain which came in two pieces (way superior design). I would not recommend this product.

As advertised. It's very well built and easy to install. And I really like the pop-up mechanism. Not a lot different from others I've used, but still very well built and easy to adjust for both length and force needed to raise and lower it.My only complaint would be that it is closer to black than what I'm used to getting when I purchase oil rubbed bronze. But they are true to the picture so there is no deception here. Just darker than I prefer. That said, event when matched with much more "bronze" colored ORB faucet, it's far enough away that it still looks great. And make sure you install washers / wear parts correctly when putting it together. There is an obviously correct way to install them, but I managed install the incorrectly nonetheless. This made it hard to adjust and it may have leaked. Fortunately I knew it was probably wrong so I took it apart. But I easily could installed it in the incorrect configuration. As with most prosumer items like this, some better instructions would be nice for those of use who are more consumers than pros.
