I bought this to restring my patio umbrella and was able to successfully do so.My umbrella is a relatively cheap umbrella so I had to pry it apart a bit whereas the nicer ones are meant to be serviced and have bolts and nuts allowing them to be disassembled easily. In the end I was able to get my umbrella pried apart and get this new line installed and it works exactly as it should.This is enough line to replace the line in my umbrella twice.

It was a major headache--at least for me--to fish the string through the umbrella shaft, but once I managed to get it done the umbrella works like new again. I think the effort was worth it, but I can see why someone would opt to just replace the umbrella rather than trying to restring it.

This was slightly heavier and thicker than the original line, which made it challenging to install. Our tilting umbrella has a very narrow channel through the tilt hinge. It took me several hours and many attempts before I was successful. It was worth spending that amount of time doing the repairs, which saved me $190 for a comparable replacement umbrella.

I was able to repair my patio umbrella using this cord. This cord is a little bit thicker than the original one, but it did not create any problem. I cannot say anything about long time durability because I just installed it last week.

We purchased this rope to use with a pulley system to raise and lower a large bird feeder and after rain and a full harsh winter the cord has help without any fray. Very Good!

Our old patio umbrella rope finally broke after years of winding. Given the cost of new umbrellas, the hassle of replacing the rope was worth it. The rope will likely outlive the fabric of the umbrella.

The nylon cord is little bit thicker than my original cord, But I bought too much, (20 feet was overkill)… However, the cord attached and fit as required to get my patio umbrella functioning again.I believe this cord will outlast the remaining life of the umbrella.Amazon shipping was amazing. shipped in 3 days.
