So much to my chagrin I do not have a garbage disposal in my kitchen sink. This has led to some really nasty clogs and smells since my family frequently seems to forget and dumps their food into the sink. I honestly didn’t have a lot of hope for this gadget as it seemed more of a gimmick than something that would actually work. I was wrong. I had thought the frame was plastic but it’s actually metal. It adheres and suctions to your counter top for maximum hold and the nets are sturdy and expand well. It has a fairly large opening to scrape plates and bowls but some items still manage to miss from operator error. I ESPECIALLY like that I don’t have to dig out disintegrating food and tiny pieces of plastic and lord only knows what else from my sink drain any longer. While I would still prefer a garbage disposal, these actual make it tolerable to live without one.
