I'm fairly new to 3D printing and painting of plastic/resin surfaces, and I just was not getting good results with my first attempts. I printed a few resin pieces and tried painting them, but the paint wasn't going on very uniformly. The paint kind of beaded on smooth surfaces, and collected too much in the crevices, and it rubbed off or peeled off pretty easily. I had been thinking of trying a primer, and when I saw this offered I really wanted to give it a try. I don't know much about automotive painting either, but I obviously know that that a very tough and weather resistant paint job that really adheres to the surface is the goal. I figured this had to be some premium stuff looking at the price, but in my opinion it's just really expensive at over $100 for a quart. It's a very thin primer and I wasn't expecting that, but it's great that it will go a very long way. It really keeps the details visible, which is what I was looking for. I didn't want a thick and gummy type of primer. It dries super fast and creates a durable and hard matte surface to allow the paint to stick to. I could not scrape off the primer at all with my fingernail, compared to the previous painting attempt where I could scratch the paint off very easily. This really is good stuff and I feel lucky to have gotten a sample can through vine because I will use it on everything. I tested this on both resin and on a PLA filament print, with similar results. My goal was to use this on plastic of various types and so far it works like a dream. I tried cleaning up with mineral spirits at first, and it didn't work. I needed acetone for this, I just thought I'd add that in case anyone was wondering. Thank you so much for the great product. Bulldog seems like an expert in their field with a lot of good high quality products.

I live in a apartment with no room to paint using a hvlp spray gun, and since I've had this adhesion promoter it's been winter so outside painting had been a no go,so what I did and I don't recommend you do (follow the instructions on the can)!! Is roll it on my plastic sideskirs and front lip in my apartment with blowing outside haha! And it worked my plastic parts are textured and you'll never be able to tell under the paint I also rolled on, I wanted to use this stuff to ensure my paint would stick for years to come and so far so good!Adhesion was great didn't have any bubbling or fisheye, this stuff is spendy buy absolutely worth it if you really need paint to stick! Overall 5/5

I definitely recommend this to prep flooring surface for paint or epoxy. It is easy to apply, and so far it is working very well with no bubbling or peeling after 1 week.

This stuff is expensive...but I don't know what else works as well...or...if it works at all.Getting paint to stick to plastic surfaces has always been a trick...but this works like a charm to prep the surface for proper adhesion.I think that, even though it's expensive, a can of this goes a long way, too.Good product that works when other products don't.Worth the money and the time to get a good result with a difficult painting project.

Years ago I used the aerosol version of this and now I need to repair the step up runners on my truck, so this bulk version of KLEAN-STRIP Bulldog Adhesion Promoter Plus is going to be the perfect product for my needs.

This Bulldog product adhered really well to a cracked plastic bumper that I was able to repair with thermo welding and metal clips. I painted this on after filling and sanding and then spray primed and color coated. It looks great and can't even see where the damage was. I'm glad it comes in a large container, I'll be using this again in the future. GREAT PRODUCT!

If you want your paint to stick to plastic panels and bumpers, then you need to use this product. It's might be tempting to save the money, but you will regret it.
