I am an adult and I enjoyed doing this. I learned some new stitches. Advice is offered as to embellishments or what to do with the squares when done. I used one, turned it into a doll blanket and sent it to a granddaughter who loves it.

My daughter really enjoyed learning embroidery stitches by making these cute 4 x 4 inch cotton panels. The directions are well written with illustrations. Everything you need is included except for a pair of scissors. She learned the basics starting with the simple straight stitch and back stitch. Other stitches to learn are the chain stitch, cross stitch, satin stitch and the french knot.
