So this intake is meant for a z31, and most years are compatible. The instructions are relatively clear - just unclamp the black resonator box and case mount for the oem filter- then twist on the intake and reinstall. The instructions want you to keep the resonator box on (but it’s louder if you install it without the resonator ;) )but on my specific model, I have some washer fluid reservoir going to my rear windshield wiper (i think..) that blocks the clearance needed for this beefy filter.Amazing filter- i just wish I got to put it on :(If you’re looking to get this filter, do it if you don’t have a washer fluid tank at the front of your car by the front right headlight. It will not fit with that.I’m now looking into getting a universal intake that’s slightly smaller but easier to fit into that area. (somewhat cheaper*)Otherwise, the filter would work just fine with no blockages and installation is a quick hour or 2 job.

With the supplied mounting bracket this filter did not fit my Nissan 300ZX properly. It caused stress to the rubber resonator chamber on the intake pipe which created air leaks. I recommend getting the air filter by itself and making your own bracket. You will save a substantial amount of cash and have a better fitting filter to boot.
